  • Gallatin County Courthouse 311 West Main Street Bozeman, MT, 59715 United States (map)

Public Safety Partners,

Due to the current affairs and challenges that we face, we are postponing our Next Generation 911 Roadmap Workshop. After our current emergency has slowed down, we will reschedule our Workshop. If anyone has questions, please contact me.  Thank you all for your interest and participation in our Workshop.

Thank you – Lt. Zae Hudson

The Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office is excited to announce that we are conducting a follow-up Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) workshop in April 2020. Our last workshop covered what NG9-1-1 is, how we get “there” and why it matters to our first responders and the public that we serve. We had several presenters that discussed how different states have implemented and addressed NG9-1-1 and established Emergency Services IP Networks (ESINets) and the challenges involved with making this work.

This workshop will quickly review what NG9-1-1 is and why it matters. We will discuss why we need to migrate away from legacy selective routers and identify how we will move towards NG9-1-1 by using new technologies that will provide more efficient and advanced services to our first responders and our communities. We will also discuss how important your GIS department and data are in the planning, implementation and operation of NG9-1-1. We invite our Sheriffs, Police Chiefs, 911 Managers and Directors, as well as your I.T. and GIS experts to attend our NG9-1-1 Workshop.

Ravalli County is proud to announce that we have partnered with NGA911 and WestTel International for our workshop. During our 2020 Workshop, we will discuss our successful Proof of Concept trial on Call Routing utilizing NG9-1-1 Core Services and an ESINet.

We will discuss all of this information April 2nd and April 3rd in Bozeman Montana. Our second day will include brainstorming of vital pieces of State and Regional NG9-1-1 plans and discuss a roadmap on how we get “there”. NGA911 will be providing lunch on the 2nd and we encourage a comprehensive networking event that evening. We plan on concluding our Workshop by 1230 on 3rd.

Please RSVP and let us know who you plan on bringing with you. Any questions, give me a call or throw an e-mail.
