Each year the Montana Chapter of the Association of Public-Safety Communication Officials (APCO) recognizes a Public Safety Telecommunicators, Line Supervisor, Trainer, IT Technician, Radio Technician, Team, and Manager/Director who perform above and beyond the call of duty.

Telecommunicators are often the forgotten heroes of law enforcement, fire and EMS responses, even though they are the first of the first responders. Supervisors, Managers and Directors have a challenging job, managing equipment, personnel and operations, often responsible for dispatch duties as well. Trainers have the added responsibility of training new hires or facilitating on-going training in addition to routine dispatch duties. As technology changes, Technicians face new challenges and are crucial to the overall operation of the dispatch center.  There is also a Team award recognizing two or more people who have shown exemplary performance. Please take advantage of this opportunity to honor a professional in your organization by nominating him or her for this year's awards.

Montana APCO will recognize each professional nominated with a congratulatory letter, and the nominees selected as Montana Telecommunicators, Trainer, Line Supervisor, Manager/Director, Team, IT Technician, and Radio Technician of the Year will receive a plaque to be awarded at the Public Safety Fall Forum at the Springhill Suites in Bozeman, MT on September 21, 2023. Conference registration for the award recipients will be paid by Montana APCO.
