Peter Callahan is the 911 Center manager for Lewis and Clark County / City of Helena and has been doing so since October 2012. Graduating with honors, he received his B.S. from Thomas Edison State College in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. In April 2009, Peter completed the Montana Executive Leadership Institute course at Montana's Law Enforcement Academy. Prior to managing a 911 Center, he served the City of Helena as a police officer retiring as a sergeant in October 2012. His public safety career was preceded by a military career spanning over 20 years in the United States Coast Guard and Montana's Army National Guard. The combination of a public safety career and military service has rewarded him with many awards and life experiences that continue to enhance his role as a 911 Center manager. Originally from a suburb of Philadelphia, Peter currently lives in Helena with his wife Shannon. He has two grown daughters who are pursuing their life ambitions in elementary education and Pre-Med studies.
